Gamecheck has reached a major milestone. We’ve been selected as one of just six startups to make it to the final stage of the SIGMA Euro-Med Startup Pitch in Malta this September.
To put that in perspective: more than a hundred young companies applied, each bringing new ideas to the table. Only six were chosen to pitch live on stage. Being among them is recognition not just of our product, but of the bigger mission behind it, protecting players from fake casino games and restoring trust in online gambling.
From 1–3 September, Malta’s Mediterranean Maritime Hub will become the centre of the iGaming world. More than 12,000 delegates, 400 exhibitors and 400 speakers are expected at SIGMA Euro-Med, one of the biggest events on the calendar.
Gamecheck’s pitch slot is confirmed for 3 September at 14:25, as part of the AIBC tech track. A panel of investors and industry leaders will be there, and the winning startup could walk away with investment, mentorship, or technology support packages worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
For us, it isn’t only about competing. Reaching the finals puts Gamecheck on the same stage as the leading names in iGaming and emerging tech. It gives us the chance to:
James Elliott, founder of Gamecheck, said:
“When we started Gamecheck, the goal was simple: give players a way to tell if a casino game is real or fake. To see that mission recognised on a stage as big as SIGMA is an incredible moment for us. But more importantly, it’s a sign that the industry is finally paying attention to the problem of fake games, and to the players who need protecting.”
Gamecheck was created with one goal in mind: to help players know whether the games they play online are real or fake. Our tools; the Gamecheck SEAL and the Gamecheck app, make that possible. Players can scan a SEAL, get real-time updates on a casino’s status, and receive alerts if a site is flagged for fake games.
For operators and game providers, it’s a chance to showcase their commitment to fairness and to stand out as leaders in integrity. For players, it brings confidence and peace of mind every time they play. And for the wider industry, it marks a positive step toward greater transparency and a stronger culture of trust.
Reaching the finals is already a huge win for Gamecheck. It shows that protecting players and promoting fair play is now at the heart of the industry conversation. What was once a niche concern is being recognised as a cornerstone of the future of online gambling, and we’re proud to be leading that shift.
We’ll be at the Startup Village throughout the event, ready to demo the app, talk about the SEAL, and share how Gamecheck is raising standards across the industry.
If you’re attending, come and find us. If not, follow our updates on LinkedIn, YouTube, and X during #SiGMAEuroMed, we’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes moments, highlights from the pitch, and what this recognition means for us and the players we protect.
This September, the fight for fair play goes global and Gamecheck will be right at the heart of it.
