A selection of games from each site is gathered as evidence, then checked directly with the original game providers, the only parties in a position to confirm whether a game is real or fake. Across this batch of fifty, the providers' findings were consistent. The games in question were copies running under branding that borrowed heavily from titles players would recognise. Some used near-identical reel symbols and pay tables. Others simply reused a provider's name and logo without permission. What stands out four weeks in is how uniform the tactics are. Many of these sites share naming conventions, near-identical layouts, or the same style of shortened, alphanumeric domain built for speed rather than trust. It points to a small number of operators running large volumes of near-identical fake sites, rather than two hundred separate scams built from scratch.
